The Bend, Central Oregon Mountain Biking and X/C Skiing Adventure Map is a waterproof, topographic map that includes a route guide covering trails throughout Bend, Sisters, and all of Central Oregon. This map provides full beta for mountain biking trails in the Phil's Trail System in Bend and the Peterson Ridge System in Sisters.
It also includes detailed map and route descriptions for hiking, nordic skiing and trail running trails throughout the Central Oregon Cascades, Sunriver, Sisters, Newberry Crater & Horse Ridge, Gray Butte & Smith Rock, Waldo & Cultus Lakes and the McKenzie River Trail.
Bend (Central Oregon) is renowned for its high desert climate and beauty. The area is a recreation paradise with mountains, rivers, forests and plenty of public access to trails. The relatively moderate slopes of the mountains and ridges are especially well suited to mountain biking, cross country skiing and trail running.
Central Oregon is blessed with hundreds of miles of mountain bike friendly singletrack including the vast network west of Bend; with many trails built specifically for mountain biking. 37 trail rides of varying difficulty, from the crest of the Cascade Range to the high desert, are highlighted on this adventure map. Use the route descriptions to pick rides appropriate to your biking abilities and taste.
In addition, 8 trail running descriptions are included on this adventure map to point runners to the best trails for the growing sport of trail running.
For winter recreation, 8 marked nordic skiing/snow-shoeing areas are described and marked on the map. The snow falls deep in the Cascade Range, providing months of reliable nordic skiing and snow-shoeing conditions. The detailed route and map information will help you choose trails appropriate to your abilities.
